The Written Story
SUMMER 2011:
This blog was started with the idea of using only audio for our stories. But the video from Marie was too compelling to miss; and there are far too many stories out there in written form to pass up also. So this page will include those that come to me in writing. We'll begin with a letter written by a teacher to the editor of his local paper in Southern California.
It was sent to the CA librarian's listserv by Leslie Calderera, who wrote:
"I asked my friend who is a teacher and writer to write an advocacy letter for school libraries/librarians. He sent it to the LA times, the LA Daily News and the Huffington Post. I hope it gets published. Regardless, I think you will find it uplifting."
